CERT Program
The Hollywood Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program helps train volunteers to assist first responders in emergency situations in Hollywood.
CERT members:
In order to join CERT, you must be at least 18 years old and pass a criminal background check. It is also recommended that you be in good physical condition to participate in CERT activities. CERT certification consists of a 20-hour training program conducted on-site. Meetings are held the first week of each month, usually on a Saturday morning.
Volunteers between the ages of 13 to 17 years old who are currently in high school may join Teen CERT. Adult CERT volunteers train high school students to become Teen CERT members.

CERT members:
- Act as volunteers at a disaster site
- Collect disaster intelligence to support first responder efforts
- Give critical support to first responders in emergencies
- Provide immediate assistance to victims
- Participate in informative community outreach initiatives
