Tax Deductible Donation Opportunities Available

The Excellence in Education Teacher Grant Program is to reward Hollywood teachers and school-based administrators by funding their original and innovative projects. Projects selected for funding enrich the standard curriculum and explore new alternatives to traditional methods of learning. Projects address needs for which funding is not available through state, federal or district revenues. Eligible proposals are designed to enhance and expand the delivery in nine focus areas:

• Arts, Music, Theater
• Character Education
• Civics Education
• Health & Wellness
• Diversity & Cultural Outreach
• Career Planning & Vocational Training
• Environment
• Parental Involvement
• Enhanced Curriculum, including S.T.E.M.

Grants may vary in amount depending on the nature of the project, but typically average $600 - $1,200 and a maximum of three (3) proposals per school are funded. Grant proposals totaling in excess of $16,000.00 have recently been funded at the following schools:

Hollywood Hills HS
Hollywood Park ES
McArthur HS
Oakridge ES
Sheridan Park ES
